On Saturday, July 11th, Idaho’s III%, Oathkeepers, and concerned citizens gathered in a show of solidarity to bring awareness to the current distressed state of our Nation.
In a shaded grassy area behind the Boise Art Museum, TVOI’s founder Michael Emry could be seen interviewing Andrew Chavez, the rally organizer. Chavez gives a brief overview of the reasons for the protest, and some of the concerns he believes the public and our politicians need to take action on. Our congress has an embarrassing low approval rating, military veterans are not receiving the care they deserve, and the military running drills in urban areas is a spark for concern. As one can gather, the issues raised by Chavez include economic, military, and social, all which have the ability to affect our day to day lives. The goal of the march is to raise awareness and to invite like-minded individuals to join the ranks of Idaho’s’ III% and Oathkeepers. “If you think like us then you’re not alone”. The plan was to march to the Capitol, bearing the American and III% flag, while demonstrating open-carry and the right to free speech, peaceably assemble, and the right to petition government for the redress of grievances.
We’ve got to get the word out” said one participant, “our country is going to hell”.
In addition to the concerns addressed above, the discussion involved the over-sensitive public reactions as well as the overly commanding political correctness environment that plagues this country. Many individuals have been scared out of their wits to speak out against unlawful orders and legislation, even when it comes to defending the Constitution for fear of being labeled a racist or an extremist. Corporate media and social engineering have manipulated the public into a false sense of security and apathetic stance towards domestic policy. At the same time being bombarded by celebrity gossip, big screen TVs, and orchestrated tech-trends, there is little room for much else.
The reason people don’t see the growing tyranny is because no one is educated on their rights, and so they don’t realize when they begin to lose them.
As we walked silently up Capitol Blvd. toward the Capitol steps, we noticed varied reactions from the public. Empty stares and blank looks, pedestrians corralling their children away from the line of III% flags, and a few encouraging honks. A few even avoided eye contact or changed their direction entirely at the sight of our march. The greater implications of these behaviors demonstrate a portion of the public’s unwillingness to speak out for fear of ridicule. Somewhere along the line a march of dissidence became a spectacle, a display of paranoid behavior, rather than a civic duty. There must be a way to break through the programming bring the Patriot movement to the forefront of the American mindset. The growing tyranny is not an episode of TMZ, nor is it an issue that exists in a vacuum. It is an all-encompassing attack on your individual liberties.
After arriving at the Capitol steps, speakers took their place behind the podium as TVOI set up camera. To start off the speech Lynn House of Oathkeepers gave a quote from someone who knows a thing or two about domestic tyranny. The quote was of Alexander Solzhenitsyn, a critic of Soviet Totalitarianism. It says “The state of war only serves as an excuse for domestic tyranny”. House speaks about the stated and implied mission objectives of the domestic Military exercise ‘Jade Helm’, whose motto is “Master the Human Domain”. “You are to be mastered, manipulated, and maneuvered against”, he reads House believes this is a passive reference to create the necessary environment to bring the American people under complete domestic control, overt tyranny. While the military claims the drills are for training and readiness purposes only, many citizens remain skeptical. House warns the public not to act unnecessarily, to stay informed and remain vigilant. Jade Helm is also believed to act as a psyops game, looking to dupe the public into perceiving an actual threat. Provoking the American people into a false state of threat will induce them to rise up, firing the first shot, therefore justifying Martial Law and other security measures. By covert methods, exercises will have humvees and teams patrolling in streets, conducting searches, and live drills to prepare for possible future warfare in an urban American setting. The concern over these drills revolves around the allegation that the government foresees massive civil unrest or a foreign invasion. Drills and preparations would not be made if these scenarios. As of this week, an announcement was made that no press coverage will be allowed, sparking grass-roots efforts across the southwest to monitor the campaign from the ground and the air. Average citizens and military veterans alike have come together to keep an eye on federal troops, looking for evidence to support suspicions about a federal takeover or Martial Law. Hundreds of volunteers will provide valuable information to the public about the details of the operation. While the military assures city officials that economic and social life will not be disrupted, citizens and local authorities remain skeptical and will monitor the actions for the duration of the drills. House ends his speech by acknowledging the 10 orders they as an organization will not obey including disarming American citizens, conduct warrant-less searches, or detain citizens without due process or declare Martial Law. He continues by leading the supporting participants in a reaffirmation of that ever-sacred oath “To support and defend the Constitution of the united states against all enemies foreign and domestic”. The floor is then given over to the rally organizer, Andrew Chavez, who goes on to lay out the concerns about Jade Helm and why the community needs to stand together and join the ranks of the Idaho III% and Oathkeepers to maintain the America we all know and Love.
When are we going to stop accepting indefinite detention and warrant-less wiretapping as justified behavior in the name of protecting nationalsecurity? Security from what? A terror group funded by the government implementing and pushing anti-civil rights legislation? When are we going to outright demand action from our elected representatives? Why are we letting our borders continue to be overrun and why do we sit idly by as our taxpayer dollars go to funding the livelihood of those here illegally? The Liberties we have been taking for granted are what stand in the way of a complete domination by the powers that be. The healthcare
takeover, crackdown and regulations on telecommunications, and proposals of mandatory buy-back (confiscation) programs for certain firearms, Gun-free and free speech zones, and domestic military training exercises should paint a grim picture of what is to come. The military does not coordinate massive sums of financial and personnel resources for arbitrary “just-in-case” scenarios. Jade Helm is being orchestrated to put the command and control structure into place in preparation for massive civil unrest. Something is coming, and we need solidarity.
We need more activism. Sharing meme’s and police brutality videos on patriot pages are not enough. We need numbers, participation. We need you. Numbering only around 20 in strength, the Nation in Distress Protest went largely unnoticed by the public, this lack of participation or encouragement by onlookers speaks only to reaffirm the current state of societies deep sleep. We must reverse this apathy and instill a long-lost drive for Liberty and the original Republic. Follow the encouraging words of Andrew Chavez: You are not alone. Become a Three percenter.
Increased domestic surveillance measures and are implemented and the majority of the population doesn’t bat an eye. But if the new iphone release date is pushed back or an NFL controversy breaks out the internet forums and break-room discussions become violently animated. If one ounce of the effort utilized to focus and fight over trivialities was channeled towards rebuilding the republic, the effects could take place literally overnight. Stay informed, remain vigilant, empower yourself.
